Motivational Interviewing - An Introduction

Time:   1:00pm-4:00pm 

PURPOSE: This training is an introduction to some of the terms and concepts associated with Motivational Interviewing. This class will help participants become familiar with some of the techniques used in MI so that they can recognize MI skills that other staff members are using. This class is only an introduction to Motivational Interviewing, and though staff may pick up fundamental skills they can use immediately, it would be necessary to attend an advanced class to gain the knowledge to be able to use MI properly.
