Purpose:

Students will have the knowledge of Crisis Intervention, how to recognize if someone is in a crisis state, some common causes and some intervention techniques.  Students will demonstrate how to properly use the Intervention Concepts, Active Listening Skills and 8 standardized de-escalation techniques when handling anyone in a crisis state.
